Nature At Its Finest • Welcome to a new photo series where we share untouched environments on our planet in their natural and wild habitat.
Next up in this series we feature the edge of Grand Prismatic Spring, Yellowstone National Park
Next up in this series we feature the edge of Grand Prismatic Spring, Yellowstone National Park—a natural hot spring in which water at around 189°F enters the center of the pool, creating a clear zone with no visible life. Visitors can follow a boardwalk to the edge of the Spring to witness this beauty!
The colored bands toward the perimeter denote progressively cooler zones where different species of cyanobacteria and other microbial life thrive best.
