The products are manufactured in Jaipur by artisans who specialise in the ancient craft of lost-wax casting. Energy Studio's primary supplier is a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council and they work with various smaller specialists who have been in the industry for generations. Anyone who’s been to Jaipur and visited the famous Johri Bazaar, would have seen how every street is populated with a variety of talented vendors, who sit door-by-door making it easier for us to shrink the size of our supply chain. Energy Studio's pearls are the only material that are imported from Hong Kong, from farmers that the brand have had a long-standing relationship with and believe produce in the highest standard the industry offers.
In essence, Brass as a metal is extremely recyclable, which is why we have chosen to use this metal for the bulk of our pieces. It also means making things more affordable while not compromising on longevity. Energy Studio plate all of their designs 18carat gold & all of the gemstones and pearls are 100% natural and sourced in small quantities to minimise waste.
When we think about mindful consumption, cost per use is a way of evaluating whether or not your purchase is sustainable or not. Asking questions like “will I use/wear this piece more than 30 times?” “Will I fix it when it breaks?” “When I’ve finished using it, will I extent the lifespan of the item by giving it to someone I know/charity?” All of these actions will decrease the overall carbon footprint of your purchase.
How do you work out the cost per use? Divide the price of the product by 30! We use 30 as this is the average amount of uses items are thought to have.
10% of net proceeds are donated to climate projects in South Asia. Currently we are donating to the Nature Environment and Wildlife Society, based in West Bengal, who are working with women in the Sundarbans to plant Mangrove trees.

The Story Behind Energy Studio
Energy Studio was Founded by Mehr, an independent filmmaker and founder of an artisan-made jewellery enthusiast.
"I’ve been engaged with climate and sustainability discourse for a couple of years now through filmmaking & writing but it was only last year that I decided to couple this interest with an itch to create & design things. I have a breadth of experience working with handmade & made in india companies. I come from a family of female entrepreneurs and designers (my aunt being a well-known designer Peachoo) who have inspired my design sensibilities and curiosity about India’s wealth of craft. Before venturing off into my own work, I worked closely with interior and object designer Vikram Goyal - also known for his work in Indian craft-revival - on strategising a wellness-oriented brand for the international market. I came up with the idea for Energy Studio last summer when I decided I wanted to build an idea vs a brand, and have the ability to produce beautiful things that had beautiful stories behind them. In this way, the studio in Energy Studio stands both for the geography of physical and mental creativity. Today, I have built a relationship with artisans who boast incredible skill in the art of jewellery making and lost-wax casting. Working with them allows me to explore my tastes, usually influenced by 90s vintage & ancient symbology, and bring them to life. Further, nothing is complete without giving back which is why 10% of net proceeds are donated to climate projects in South Asia. Currently we are donating to the Nature Environment and Wildlife Society, based in West Bengal, who are working with women in the Sundarbans to plant Mangrove trees. In the coming months I hope to travel there and film their incredible work, as another way to connect the studio to its story."
