Adding product to your cart
All pyjama sets are produced in limited quantities to ensure a small-scale production producing as minimal waste as possible. Therefore hoping to create pyjamas in a carefully curated and conscious way. Pyjama sets are best washed at 40 degrees, however washing at lower temperatures and or using a delicate cycle when possible will reduce your carbon footprint and increase their lifecycle even further.
Hermit try to reduce our fabric waste and anything that is too small to be reused becomes one of our pyjama drawstring bags which each order is packaged in or hair scrunchies. Some are made out of recycled pillow covers also recovered from our hotels.
All pyjama orders are delivered to you in biodegradable recycled cardboard boxes and are wrapped in acid-free recycled tissue paper.
When we think about mindful consumption, cost per use is a way of evaluating whether or not your purchase is sustainable or not. Asking questions like “will I use/wear this piece more than 30 times?” “Will I fix it when it breaks?” “When I’ve finished using it, will I extent the lifespan of the item by giving it to someone I know/charity?” All of these actions will decrease the overall carbon footprint of your purchase.
How do you work out the cost per use? Divide the price of the product by 30! We use 30 as this is the average amount of uses items are thought to have.
Hermit London has chosen to donate % of each pyjama set purchased to NO MORE PLASTICS. They are striving to have more fish in the oceans one day and we want to help them get there. To find out more please visit their website: https://www.nomoreplastic.co/about

The Story Behind Hermit London
Hermit is built on the discovery that 10 million tonnes of bed linen is thrown away every year in Europe alone. Hermit take high quality bed linen, destined for landfill beyond all sense, and transform it into individual, characterful and comfortable pyjamas for a good night’s sleep with one less environmental worry on your mind.

Meet the Founder
Founder Ella Campion, works as a London based textile designer and pits her everyday against the global fabric waste crisis.
“We all know this is an enormous problem, and sadly, when faced with enormous problems inaction is all too often the consequence. Striving towards closing the loop will take time and perseverance, but in the meantime we want to do all we can to help.”
