As a Pending B Corp, Spruceuse business as a force for good to promote high environmental, social and ethical standards. They are proudly legally-boundto put peopleand the planet before profits.

Eight million tonnes of plastic waste is dumped in the oceans every year, most of which stays in our ecosystem for over five centuries. Spruce are more than a circular business. They collect and remove ocean-bound plastic waste equal to twenty-five plastic bottles with every starter kit purchased. Spruce also support the social development and regeneration of communities in high-poverty coastal regions, working with their partner Plastic Bank.

When we think about mindful consumption, cost per use is a way of evaluating whether or not your purchase is sustainable or not. Asking questions like “will I use/wear this piece more than 30 times?” “Will I fix it when it breaks?” “When I’ve finished using it, will I extent the lifespan of the item by giving it to someone I know/charity?” All of these actions will decrease the overall carbon footprint of your purchase.

How do you work out the cost per use? Divide the price of the product by 30! We use 30 as this is the average amount of uses items are thought to have.

All refills are packed in plastic-free, home compostable packaging. All of the Spruceouter packaging is plastic-free, FSC-certified, printed with biodegradable ink and is fully recyclable.
